Dylan J. Lawter, Esq.

Mr. Lawter’s practice areas consist of labor and employment law, general civil litigation, business transactions, personal injury, estate planning, and representing Taft-Hartley employee benefit funds in all matters, including collection actions, fiduciary breach claims, employment concerns, and ERISA compliance. Mr. Lawter’s practice includes civil litigation in both state and federal courts involving contract, surety-related actions, and mechanic’s liens. He also has experience in State and Federal Trademark matters. Mr. Lawter represents clients before trial and appellate courts as well as administrative agencies.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Lawter received his Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law, where he co-founded the Policy and Legislation Society, served on the editorial board of the Nevada Law Journal, and co-authored a white paper addressing a significant policy issue in Nevada. He completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Kent J. Dawson of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. In his final year of school, Mr. Lawter worked with a local attorney to represent a pro bono client before the Nevada Court of Appeals where he assisted in preparing the appellate briefs and presented oral argument before the Court.

Mr. Lawter is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Nevada and the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Mr. Lawter is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and the American Bar Association’s Section of Labor and Employment Law.

Kevin B. Archibald, Esq.

Mr. Archibald’s practice areas consist of a broad range of matters, including general civil litigation, corporate law, real estate and business transactions, estate planning and representing Taft-Hartley employee benefit funds in all matters, including collection actions, fiduciary breach claims, employment concerns and ERISA compliance. Mr. Archibald’s litigation practice includes complex civil litigation in both state and federal court involving contract, landlord-tenant and surety-related actions, such as payment and performance bond litigation. Mr. Archibald’s transactional practice is predominantly focused in the areas of asset and real estate sales as well as landlord/tenant leases. Mr. Archibald also practices in the area of estate planning. He also has experience in social security matters, State and Federal Trademark matters and lien enforcement.

Mr. Archibald earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2007, his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix in 2010 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah in 2013. As a native of Las Vegas, Mr. Archibald loves and is actively involved in the community, particularly through his association with and service in the Boy Scouts of America program.

Laura J. Wolff, Esq.

Ms. Wolff has been licensed to practice law in Nevada since 1998. She also holds a license in the State of Utah. Her practice is primarily focused on civil litigation in both federal and state courts. Ms. Wolff advises Taft-Hartley employee benefit plans, drafts the documents that govern their operations, and pursues litigation for them in federal court to collect fringe benefit contributions from delinquent employers. She served as an extern (law clerk) for Judge Lloyd D. George, then the chief judge of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.

Wesley J. Smith, Esq.

Mr. Smith focuses his practice on civil and ERISA litigation in state and federal courts. He represents Taft-Hartley employee benefit funds in all matters, including collection actions, fiduciary breach claims, employment concerns, ERISA compliance, and IRS and DOL audits, mechanic’s liens, bond claims and other state law enforcement actions. Mr. Smith has significant experience representing creditors in bankruptcy and adversary actions. Mr. Smith represents investors in actions for fraud, unjust enrichment, and fiduciary breach.

Mr. Smith is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Districts of Nevada and Utah, and the Supreme Courts of Nevada, Washington and Utah. Mr. Smith is a member of the State Bars of Nevada, Washington and Utah.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Smith received his Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he served on the Moot Court Executive Board and was the primary brief writer for the school’s National Moot Court Team. Mr. Smith completed summer clerkships at the Southern California firm of Gresham Savage Nolan & Tilden and in the legal departments of Fortune 500 Companies Pfizer, Inc. in Manhattan and John Deere in Iowa. Mr. Smith graduated cum laude from Utah Valley University with a bachelor of science in criminal justice.

Daryl E. Martin, Esq.

Mr. Martin has been practicing law in Nevada since 1998. His practice is largely focused on civil litigation in both federal and state courts. Mr. Martin has represented creditors in bankruptcy court and has represented clients before numerous federal, state and local government boards, councils and agencies. A significant portion of Mr. Martin’s practice involves advising Taft-Hartley employee benefit plans and pursuing litigation for them in federal court to collect fringe benefit contributions from delinquent employers. This helps to secure the funding needed by benefit plans to provide the benefits they have promised to participating employees and their families. Mr. Martin oversees the firm’s ERISA subrogation collection practice, which helps ensure that benefit plans remain equipped to pay medical expenses for employees.

Mr. Martin spent two years in Central America serving an LDS church mission. He then obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish. He continues in his efforts to maintain his foreign language proficiency and assists in the firm’s Spanish language cases.

Mr. Martin has experience handling appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice before and he jointly authored a friend-of-the-court brief filed with the United States Supreme Court.

Evan L. James, Esq.

Evan James started practicing law in 2001. He helps employers establish proper employment policies and practices, guides employers through employment related decisions, and defends employers who are subject to employment related claims. He often investigates and provides reports for discrimination and harassment claims.

Evan also maintains an active labor-law practice by serving clients governed by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).

In addition to his employment and labor law practice, Evan has significant experience representing clients in the oil and gas industry, the construction industry, business litigation issues, and property rights matters.

Evan represents clients before trial and appellate courts as well as state and federal administrative agencies.

Kevin B. Christensen, Esq.

Mr. Christensen has practiced law in Las Vegas for 44 years, primarily in the areas of ERISA General Counsel litigation, business transactions, commercial and general civil litigation. During that time he has tried cases to verdict in Clark County’s Justice and District Courts, as well as the U.S. District Court of Nevada and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Nevada. He has participated in over one hundred administrative hearings and argued multiple cases before the Nevada Supreme Court.

Mr. Christensen served as Chairman of Nevada State Apprenticeship Council from 1984 through late 2017. He has authored legislation and regulations in multiple areas of Nevada’s Statutes. Mr. Christensen is actively involved in his community and serves as Pro Bono Legal Counsel for Provident Community Gardens Association, and is a past Board Member of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society and the Alumni Association for Brigham Young University in Las Vegas.
