Mr. Martin has been practicing law in Nevada for nearly 20 years. His practice is largely focused on civil litigation in both federal and state courts. Mr. Martin has represented creditors in bankruptcy court and has represented clients before numerous federal, state and local government boards, councils and agencies. A significant portion of Mr. Martin’s practice involves advising Taft-Hartley employee benefit plans and pursuing litigation for them in federal court to collect fringe benefit contributions from delinquent employers. This helps to secure the funding needed by benefit plans to provide the benefits they have promised to participating employees and their families. Mr. Martin oversees the firm’s ERISA subrogation collection practice, which helps ensure that benefit plans remain equipped to pay medical expenses for employees.

Mr. Martin spent two years in Central America serving an LDS church mission, during which he learned Spanish. He then formally studied the Spanish language before entering law school. He continues in his efforts to maintain his foreign language proficiency and assists in the firm’s Spanish language cases.

Mr. Martin has experience handling appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice before and he jointly authored a friend-of-the-court brief filed with the United States Supreme Court.
